About the Show
A program dedicated to bringing wit and wisdom to movie-goers
everywhere. Since 1985, well-respected citizens have hung their heads in
shame as they admit that they listen to and even love this odd compilation
of movie entertainment. The movie show cadre of critics join each Friday
afternoon from 10-12 pm (MST) to bring you the latest in movie madness. You
definitely do not have to be crazy to listen...but it does help.
Doug Wright
Ever since sneaking off at the age of 10
to the southeast theater in Sugarhouse (giving his grandmother a heart
attack) to see "Westside Story," Doug has had a lifelong love of movies.
For 12 years, he has been hosting the infamous "Movie Show" and frying
listener's brains with his deep and twisted reviews. Plus, he is the only
local movie critic who can operate a silent era motiograph and a Bauer 70
mm projector. (big whoop!)
Steve Salles
Self described as amazingly insightful
and sidesplittingly funny, this man will bring a whole new world to your
perception of movies. His reviews can be found at the "Standard
Examiner."
