Crib Recalls (June 19, 1998)

The death of a Chicago infant prompted the makers of a portable crib to re-issue a recall on its product. The Consumer Product and Safety Commission says the Playskool Travel-Lite portable cribs may not be safe.

The portable cribs could collapse and suffocate a child. The cribs have two nylon mesh sides and two solid plastic ends. It folds in the center for storage and handling.
