30 million more Americans are now suddenly "fat," but don't blame it on hamburgers or on an extra piece of cake. Blame it on the government!
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, a government agency that sets health standards, has re-defined the guidlines for measuring whether or not people are overweight.
The new guidelines put 55% of this country in the fat category--that's 97 million people. Here's how to determine if you're overweight:
The Formula
Take your weight in pounds.
Multiply it by 703.
Divide it by your height, in inches squared.
If the answer is more than 25, you are overweight, according to the new
standards.
