Signs of Not Enough Sleep

  • Difficulty waking up in the morning
  • Always needing an alarm to wake up
  • Crankiness and irritability late in the day
  • Falling asleep spontaneously during quiet times of the day
  • Difficulty remembering or concentrating
  • Sleeping extra on weekends to make up for lost sleep
Tips For Getting Enough Sleep
  • Consume less caffeine (or none at all)
  • Avoid alcohol
  • Drink fewer fluids before going to sleep
  • Establish a regular bedtime and waking schedule
  • Avoid nicotine
  • Avoid heavy meals close to bedtime
  • Exercise regularly, but do so at least three hours before bedtime
  • Try a relaxing routine, like a hot bath, before going to bed
