Winter Quarters Temple
- Plans for the Winter Quarters Nebraska Temple were announced 14 June 1999.
- Ground was broken on 28 November 1999, beginning a 16-month construction period.
- Dedication is scheduled for Sunday, 22 April 2001.
- This is the Church's first temple in Nebraska and the 104th temple worldwide.
- The 16,000 square foot temple stands on a 1.92 acre site.
- The temple is located in the historic pioneer town of Florence, adjacent to the Mormon Pioneer Cemetery. The street address is 8283 North 34th Street, Omaha, Nebraska.
- Architect: Dan Reinhardt of Reinhardt & Associates
- Contractor: Lund-Ross Constructors, Inc.
- Exterior facade is Bethel white granite and the building is topped by a gold statue of the Angel Moroni.
- Interior includes a celestial room, two ordinance rooms seating 40 people each, two sealing rooms, a baptistry, as well as dressing rooms, offices, a laundry and an eating area.

- Handcrafted period-style furniture
- 18 scenic stained glass windows
- Original artwork, including oil paintings of old Winter Quarters, the Missouri River and Chimney Rock, and a handmade quilt of authentic period design
- Door handles backed with unique brass or cast aluminum escutcheon plates featuring floral or other decorative designs
- The Winter Quarters Nebraska Temple will serve more than 35,000 Latter-day Saints living in Nebraska, Iowa, and parts of South Dakota, Missouri, and Kansas.
