The Journal of the American Medical Association reports that tobacco companies used their economic clout to weakening marketing campaigns for anti-smoking products.
Those include nicotine gum and nicotine patches.
In one instance, Philip Morris stopped buying chemicals from Dow when it discovered that Dow had ties with companies that produced the anti-smoking products.
Dow changed its policies with those companies...
and Philip Morris was back doing business.
