Zion National Park says it will use a computer-based lottery system this year for hikers who want to hike the left fork of North Creek, commonly known as the Subway.
The lottery system is being used because of the increased popularity of the hike.
It replaces the current call-in reservation system.
An estimated 6,500 people hiked the Subway in 2001.
