Tips For Good Gas Mileage

Just in time for your weekend outing, great tips guaranteed to get you better gas mileage!

The easiest thing you can do yourself is to keep your tires properly inflated. That'll improve your mileage right

Make sure your tires aren't bald, that'll decrease the amount of mileage you get per tank.

Keep your windows rolled up on the freeway. The wind will slow down the car and make the engine work harder.

Also, don't idle more than 30 seconds at a drivethrough window. Remember, when your idling you're getting 0 miles to the gallon!

Have your car tuned up -- things like dirty air filters and worn out spark plugs can decrease your gas mileage by 20 percent.

Another tip-- run your errands back to back.

Obviously, most sedans get better gas mileage than sport utility vehicles.

To put it in perspective, a trip to Zion Canyon from Salt Lake in an s.u.v. will cost you about $50 in gas round-trip, but only half that much if you're driving a sedan.
