(Undated-AP) -- Firefighters are slowly trying to get a huge wildfire in north Florida under control.
The blaze has burned nearly 61,000 acres of commercial timberland and swamp between Tallahassee and Gainesville.
The Mallory Swamp fire is the largest of about 184 active fires in the state, accounting for nearly a quarter of about 267,000 acres that have burned since the first of the year.
Fire officials say it's about 45 percent contained.
A nearby fire has scorched nearly 1,300 acres. Another blaze is burning near Walt Disney World outside Orlando.
