U.E.A. Strategizes Education Goals
- Utah's school aged population will have grown 85% between 1980 and 2020.
- Utah has ranked last in the nation in per pupil expenditures for over a decade.
- Utah has had the largest class sizes in the nation 14 of the previous 17 years.
- Utah's teachers rank 38th in the nation in average annual pay.

UEA Plan
- Organize for Action-- which will include involving all UEA members in activities designed to implement their plan, from an Activist ListServ to preparing members for potential job actions.
- Building Public Support-- which will include communicating with the community in order to build broad-based support for public education issues.
- Influencing Policy Makers-- which will include collaborating with elected officials and proposing legislation to support UEA priorities.
