The recall has been issued as a precaution to address the remote possibility that a Maxair
press-and-breathe aerosol inhaler may stick intermittently and patients may not receive the
expected puff of medication.
They are offering to replace the inhalers with their Maxair Autohaler, a breathe-activated version, at no charge.
The Maxair Autohaler is not part of the recall.
But before heading to the pharmacy, patients should ask their physician for a prescription for the Maxair Autohaler.
If you have questions about the recall, call 1-800-390-1132, 7 days a
week, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EDT.
