About 12,500 toy school buses are being recalled because they may pose a potential choking hazard to children.
The recall involves the "Busy School Bus," manufactured by Playskool.
Only item number 5527 toys with date codes 91671 through 91883 are being recalled to replace. The item number and date code are printed on the bottom of the toy. A
yellow Playskool logo is imprinted on one side and "MADE IN CHINA" imprinted on the bottom.
The toy has a yellow awning piece that can break loose and could choke young children if they try to swallow it. Playskool has received five reports of the yellow awning piece breaking loose. No injuries were reported.
Mass merchandise and toy stores sold these toys nationwide for about $10. The toys were sold from June 1999 through January 2001.
If you have one of these toys, you are encouraged to take it away from your kids immediately. You can get a free replacement toy by contacting Playskool at (888) 510-1561 or visiting their web site at
