The Coleman company is recalling more than 86,000 gas grills.
A sharp edge on the grill's metal heat shield below the control panel can cut the hands, wrists and arms.
Coleman has received six reports of people who've been injured while trying to access the propane cylinder underneath the grill.
The recalled grills are green and black and have a red Coleman emblem on the grill's cover. The grill has a wheeled cart with
two side tables or one side table and a side burner, and features a warming rack above the grilling surface. Only series 2000 and 3000 are affected.
The grills sold nationwide from January through April 2000 for between
$350 and $500.
Consumers should immediately contact Coleman toll free at (877) 846-1070 anytime to receive a free repair
kit, or visit the Coleman Grill web site at www.bbqhq.com/aboutus/recall.htm The repair kit contains a plastic sheath to cover
the sharp edge on the heat shield.
