In some ways, the road may have been rocky for Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson so far.
But the public seems to think it's all been smooth sailing.
Political Specialist Richard Piatt has more on an exclusive poll that focuses on the Mayor.
In spite of personnel changes at city hall, some controvercial decisions the mayor has made, our poll shows overwhelming support for the job he's done so far.
- Approve 69%
- Disapprove 18%
- Don't Know 12%
+/-7%
These are results of an exclusive KSL-TV/Deseret News poll of 229 Salt Lake City voters.
69% say they approve of the job he's done in his first 100 days.
It's a high approval rating.
The results seem to indicate that Anderson's reputation for "shaking things up" is serving him well.
Rocky Anderson, Salt Lake Mayor: "WELL I THINK IT COMES NATURAL TO ME THAT IF I SEE SOMETHING I DON'T AGREE WITH TO TRY AND RIGHT THE WRONGS THAT I SEE. SO WHEN PEOPLE TALK ABOUT US SHAKING THINGS UP, I'M NOT JUST SHAKING THEM UP FOR THE SAKE OF DOING IT, I'M TRYING TO FIX THINGS."
At the same time, the mayor says he doesn't cater too much to polls, and wouldn't rely on a poll to make a decision.
But he admits that such a high approval rating at this point feels good.
