What's Next For Jacobi?
According to Jacobi, the first chance he will have to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Trials will be the O'Day Finals in August. In order to get to the O'Day Finals, he must win the area qualifiers in June. He says if he should win the finals, he would avoid having to go through the rest of the Trials qualifying process.
He says 32 people will advance to the U.S. Trials. One each comes from the 1998 and 1999 O'Day Championships. The top 10 at the first Trials qualifier will be next, followed by the top 10 at each of the final two qualifying events. In other words, he needs to either win the 1999 O'Days, or place in the top 10 at one of the three qualifier races, in order to participate in the Trials. To represent the U.S. at the 2000 Olympics, he must win the Trials themselves in April 2000.

- Enter your name and address. You do not have to join US Sailing to make a donation-- just ignore the "Membership Type" box.
- Click the USSF buttom under "Additional Donation to:" heading
- Enter Marc Jacobi in the "If donating to USSF" box (otherwise your donation goes into a general fund and not to Marc's specific campaign)
- Enter your contribution in "Amount of Donation" box
- Enter credit card info (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express)
- Press the "Send" button
You should receive written confirmation of your donation from US Sailing within a few weeks.
