Salt Lake Olympic organizers are trimming their budget again.
The cuts total $113 million, and they come after a top-to-bottom review of a budget that gets leaner and leaner, with money slow to come in following the bribery scandal.
Trimming $113 million in spending will reduce the existing $300-million shortfall to $187 million.
Mitt Romney/SLOC President: "I THINK IT'S FAIR TO SAY WE'RE CONFIDENT WE AREN'T GOING TO BE LEAVING UNPAID BILLS FOR TAXPAYERS OR ANYBODY ELSE."
Thirty-eight-million dollars of the cuts are from products and services, $30-million in personnel costs. Still, organizers say they plan no layoffs, but will rely heavily on volunteers.
