It has been a remarkable year for a Salt Lake man who is rediscovering a
huge part of his life.
Abel Davis lost his right arm in a sugar cane press in Bolivia when he was
only four years old.
But after spending a year in the hospital, Davis lost contact with his
family and was declared an orphan.
Abel Davis: "I remember at one point weeping, weeping, thinking, why was I
alone? Why had my parents left me?"
Six years later, he was sent to the United States for advanced medical
care.
It was at Salt Lake's Shriners Hospital that Abel first saw his new parents,
Jeron and Annette Davis.
But for 28 years, Davis was unaware that a mother and father in Bolivia
still call him son.
Join Bruce Lindsey tonight for their incredible reunion: "I Have Never Forgotten You" on the Eyewitness News at 5 and 10.
