Election Humor

We knew it had to happen.

The Bush-Gore turmoil in Florida has certainly been the source of much humor. Much of that humor has turned up on the internet.

Keith McCord takes a look.

Has it really come down to this?!

As usual, creative minds have taken the still not-official presidential race, and are having a ball with it.

Herewith, the "Bush-Gore Dance" website. I wonder if the real guys have seen this?

Or this!

CARTOON CHARACTER: "THIS IS JOSEPH FERRIN KEEPING YOU UP TO DATE ON THE SITUATION IN SOUTH FLORIDA."

This site has several different animated "news" reports. One alleges that voters have always had problems with arrows, not just those on a ballot.

Cartoon character: "SO IT HAS NOW BEEN CONFIRMED THAT THE DEMOCRATIC RESIDENTS IN PALM BEACH COUNTY FLORIDA ARE COMPLETELY INCAPABLE OF READING AN ARROW."

A lot of Americans are sending and receiving humorous e-mails which have a Florida recount "theme."

Keith McCord, Eyewitness News: "THIS ONE I RECEIVED REGARDING HE NEW YORK METS. IT SAYS, 'THE NEW YORK METS ANNOUNCED TODAY THEY ARE GOING TO COURT TO GET AN ADDITIONAL INNING ADDED TO THE END OF GAME 5 OF THE WORLD SERIES!'"

Or this one... a take-off from the Mastercard ads.It reads:
"Haircut at the mall--Ten dollars
Suit off the rack-- 300
Losing the Presidential election because 19,000 of your supporters are too (d_____) stupid to follow directions and fill out the ballots properly-- priceless!"

We even found an interactive webpage where you can use a mouse and make the faces of Al Gore and George Bush look pretty awful!

Which is probably how both candidates actually feel about now!
