Utah state leaders are launching a new high-tech way to give the gift of life.

They've started an on-line database for the Utah Organ Donor Registry.

The system is meant to ease the grief and confusion family members face about a potential donor's wishes at the time of death.

Unlike the driver's license registry, the new on-line program allows potential donors to specify what body tissue is to be shared.
