Meth Labs:
What To Look For In Your Neighborhood

What to look for if you suspect a meth lab in your neighborhood.

  • Unusual, strong odors similar to the that of fingernail polish remover or cat urine.

  • Renters who pay cash.

  • Unexplainable explosions or fires.

  • Large amounts of products such as cold medicines, antifreeze, drain cleaner, lantern fuel, coffee filters, batteries, duct tape, clear glass beakers and containers.

  • Residences with windows blacked out.

  • Lots of nighttime visitors to the residence.

  • Abnormal number of visitors who stay 5 or 10 minutes.

  • Excessive trash including large amounts of items such as: antifreeze containers, lantern fuel cans, red chemically stained coffee filters, drain cleaner and duct tape.

  • Unusual amounts of clear glass containers or propane tanks taken inside.

  • Extensive security, like motion sensors, traps, survellience cameras.
