Does he admit having a mental illness?
Cody Judy: "I feel like I went through a depression over my divorce. Okay, I think depression is a mental illness."
(He says that because his mental illness was caused by a circumstantial thing, it's not something that is hereditary or a lifelong thing.)
Cody Judy: "So I acknowledge, yes, I went through a very depressing time. But that should not handicap me for the rest of my life. I've moved on."
About the Marriott Center incident
Cody Judy: "I, uh, first of all, I'm still and always will be very sorry for any scare or fear that I caused anybody there."
(He says it was personal, not a church mission. He says he had lost his home and family, was disfellowshipped from the (LDS) church, and was experiencing tremendous stress. He says he doesn't want to blame church authorities, but also says they didn't help him.)
Cody Judy:"I disagreed with authorities, so that's why I said, 'Let's just dismiss the authorities and start over.' And basically that was the message I had."
"Any spiritual experience that I had was not related to the incident."
"I didn't have anyone spiritually or paranormally telling me to do this. This was basically my fault, I take responsibility for that."
"The key point is, I don't think I'm a leader of the Church. No way."
