Changing the eating environment
- Eat meals and snacks at regular and scheduled times.
- Eat in one place only.
- Store food out of sight.
- Don't keep high-calorie foods in the house.
- Don't put serving dishes on the table.
Changing the act of eating
- Eat slowly.
- Do not do anything else while eating.
- Put down utensils between bites.
- Chew food slowly and thoroughly.
- Pause in the middle of the meal.
- Eat smaller portions.
