Many communities around Utah are planning fireworks and other events to celebrate Independence Day. Here is a list of some of them, by region..
Tuesday, July 3
- South Salt Lake-- Fireworks at Granite High; dusk.

9 a.m. parade on Main St. (starts at Chase Lane). Includes Ariel Salute, patriotic pledge, Air Force flyover.
10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Art exhibit and contest at Centerville Elementary.
10 a.m - 3 p.m. Outdoor festival at Founder's Park.
Noon - 1 p.m. Police auction at Founder's Park.
- Riverton-- Fireworks at City park, at dark.
- Kaysville-- 6:30 am breakfast, 5K run, booths, activities, parade, water parade.
Fireworks at Davis High.
- Layton-- Layton Liberty Days, breakfast, games, rides, parade, symphony, fireworks.
- Riverdale-- Fireworks at City park; dusk.
- Ogden-- 3 p.m. entertainment, games and concessions, Ogden Stadium. $12 adults, $10 children 6-12, children 5 and under free.

NORTHERN UTAH
- Grantsville-- Fireworks at Cherry Street Park; dusk.
- Tooele-- 3 p.m. County Fair Karaoke Contest, Deseret Peak Complex
Evening rodeo followed by fireworks.
- Park City--
6 a.m.: Dynamite Salute from Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR)
7-10 a.m.: Breakfast at City Park.
8 a.m.: The Industrial Supply/Cole Sport 3 mile Run.
10:15 a.m.: The Park City Singers @ The River Horse & The Salt Lake Scots on Lower Main Street.
10:30 a.m.: Candy distribution along parade route
11 a.m.: Parade from top of Main Street to City Park & Flyover by U.S. Air Force F-16's.
11:45 a.m.: Picnic at City Park with food and drinks for sale "Ultimate Air Live" Trampoline Show with U.S. Ski Team Members. Music by the Motherlode Canyon
Band, Mary Beth Maziarz & Muddpuddle. Children's games, parade awards, volleyball & rugby tournaments.
Dusk: Fireworks from PCMR
- Oakley-- 10 a.m. parade, Center Street and Main Highway. Program at the Town Park Building.
1 p.m., arena, junior rodeo and children's activities.
8 p.m. PRCA Rodeo, followed by fireworks.
Rodeo activities continue through the week.
- Henefer-- City Park, 7 a.m., walk-a-thon & bike-a-thon, 5K run. $15 entry fee.
7:45 flag ceremony followed by breakfast, $13 per family, $4 adults, $3 kids under 8

EASTERN UTAH
- Roosevelt-- Fireworks at Constitution Park.
- Price-- Fireworks at the Fairgrounds.
- Vernal-- Fireworks at the City ballpark.
- Moab-- 5 p.m. parade, 5th West & 3rd North, east to Swanee River Park.
Afternoon in the park, "taste of Moab", games, and more.
5 p.m. - 9 p.m. live entertainment in the park.

SOUTHEASTERN UTAH
- Huntington-- Fireworks in back of the county ball complex.
- Blanding-- Fireworks this year at the high school football field at dusk.
SOUTHERN UTAH
- St. George-- 8:30 p.m. - 10 p.m., Dixie Sun Bowl; activities, entertainment & fireworks. Admission is free.
- Cedar City-- Fireworks at the dike around 10 p.m.
