Public Fireworks Displays & Celebrations

Many communities around Utah are planning fireworks and other events to celebrate Independence Day. Here is a list of some of them, by region..

Tuesday, July 3

  • South Salt Lake-- Fireworks at Granite High; dusk.

  • North Salt Lake-- 6:30-10:30 pm, Eaglewood Golf Course, booths, entertainment.
    10 p.m. fireworks.

  • Logan
    Romney Stadium
    7:30 p.m. gates open
    8 p.m. entertainment
    10 p.m. fireworks
    $3 adults, $1.50 kids under 12

Wednesday, July 4

SALT LAKE CITY

  • Sugarhouse Park

    9 a.m. - 9 p.m. arts & music festival, Utah County Courthouse/Complex.

  • Pleasant Grove-- Fireworks at Pleasant Grove High School; dusk.

  • Lehi-- Fireworks at Thanksgiving Point; dusk.

  • Sandy-- 7 a.m. 5K race, between South Towne Center and City Hall.
    7:30 a.m. breakfast.
    8 a.m. flag-raising ceremony.
    10 a.m. entertainment & activities begin.
    6 p.m. parade, Centennial Highway to South Towne Center, past City Hall to east Centennial Drive
    Fireworks at dark, South Towne Center.

  • West Jordan-- 7 a.m. flag ceremony, West Jordan High School
    8 a.m. 5K run, 2200 West 8000 South.
    7:30-10 a.m. chuckwagon breakfast, Food 4 Less parking lot.
    10:30 a.m. parade, West Jordan High School.
    Noon carnival, games, entertainment, etc.
    8 p.m. square dance at the Main Park Bowery.
    8 p.m. PRCA rodeo at rodeo arena.
    Fireworks following rodeo.

  • Murray-- 6:30-9:30 a.m. community breakfast, Murray Park, adults $3.50 kids $2.50.
    7 a.m. sunrise service.
    8 a.m. 5K race.
    8:30 a.m. parade from Fashion Place Mall to State, north to Vine, to north entry of park.
    Entertainment & activities in the park all day.
    10 p.m. fireworks at the park.

  • Magna--
    Fireworks at dusk, Magna Park.

  • Centerville--
    Tuesday, July 3
    6 p.m. children's parade 160 South 200 East, ends at Founder's Park.
    7 - 9 p.m. Free concert in Founder's Park

    Wednesday, July 4
    6 - 9 a.m., Country breakfast at Founder's Park ($3 adults, $2 kids under 12, $12 for family of six)
    7 a.m. Freedom Fun walk & run
    9 a.m. parade on Main St. (starts at Chase Lane). Includes Ariel Salute, patriotic pledge, Air Force flyover.
    10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Art exhibit and contest at Centerville Elementary.
    10 a.m - 3 p.m. Outdoor festival at Founder's Park.
    Noon - 1 p.m. Police auction at Founder's Park.

  • Riverton-- Fireworks at City park, at dark.

  • Kaysville-- 6:30 am breakfast, 5K run, booths, activities, parade, water parade.
    Fireworks at Davis High.

  • Layton-- Layton Liberty Days, breakfast, games, rides, parade, symphony, fireworks.

  • Riverdale-- Fireworks at City park; dusk.

  • Ogden-- 3 p.m. entertainment, games and concessions, Ogden Stadium. $12 adults, $10 children 6-12, children 5 and under free.
    Fireworks at dusk.

NORTHERN UTAH
  • Grantsville-- Fireworks at Cherry Street Park; dusk.

  • Tooele-- 3 p.m. County Fair Karaoke Contest, Deseret Peak Complex
    Evening rodeo followed by fireworks.

  • Park City--
    6 a.m.: Dynamite Salute from Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR)
    7-10 a.m.: Breakfast at City Park.
    8 a.m.: The Industrial Supply/Cole Sport 3 mile Run.
    10:15 a.m.: The Park City Singers @ The River Horse & The Salt Lake Scots on Lower Main Street.
    10:30 a.m.: Candy distribution along parade route
    11 a.m.: Parade from top of Main Street to City Park & Flyover by U.S. Air Force F-16's.
    11:45 a.m.: Picnic at City Park with food and drinks for sale "Ultimate Air Live" Trampoline Show with U.S. Ski Team Members. Music by the Motherlode Canyon Band, Mary Beth Maziarz & Muddpuddle. Children's games, parade awards, volleyball & rugby tournaments.
    Dusk: Fireworks from PCMR

  • Oakley-- 10 a.m. parade, Center Street and Main Highway. Program at the Town Park Building.
    1 p.m., arena, junior rodeo and children's activities.
    8 p.m. PRCA Rodeo, followed by fireworks.
    Rodeo activities continue through the week.

  • Henefer-- City Park, 7 a.m., walk-a-thon & bike-a-thon, 5K run. $15 entry fee.
    7:45 flag ceremony followed by breakfast, $13 per family, $4 adults, $3 kids under 8
    8:30 a.m. entertainment, concessions.
    6 p.m. steak dinner.
    7:30 p.m. entertainment.
    10 p.m. fireworks.

  • Clearfield--8 a.m. Freedom Run & Gold Medal Mile Walk.
    7-10:30 a.m. chuckwagon breakfast at 700 S. State
    10 a.m. parade
    11 a.m. - 10 p.m. festival in Fisher Park with entertainment, games and concessions, & activities.
    10 p.m. fireworks at Fisher Park.

  • Brigham City-- Fireworks at Pioneer Park at dusk.

CENTRAL UTAH

  • Fillmore-- Fireworks at County racetrack at dark.

  • Manti-- Fireworks behind Temple Hill, n.e. side of town.

  • Delta-- 7 a.m. breakfast in park
    10 a.m. parade begins at 400 East Main; followed by program in the park.
    Afternoon games, crafts & entertainment in the park.
    Fairgrounds demolition derby, fireworks at dark.

EASTERN UTAH

  • Roosevelt-- Fireworks at Constitution Park.

  • Price-- Fireworks at the Fairgrounds.

  • Vernal-- Fireworks at the City ballpark.

  • Moab-- 5 p.m. parade, 5th West & 3rd North, east to Swanee River Park.
    Afternoon in the park, "taste of Moab", games, and more.
    5 p.m. - 9 p.m. live entertainment in the park.
    Fireworks at dark.

SOUTHEASTERN UTAH

  • Huntington-- Fireworks in back of the county ball complex.

  • Blanding-- Fireworks this year at the high school football field at dusk.

SOUTHERN UTAH

  • St. George-- 8:30 p.m. - 10 p.m., Dixie Sun Bowl; activities, entertainment & fireworks. Admission is free.

  • Cedar City-- Fireworks at the dike around 10 p.m.
