S.L. County Ballots
Name recognition is important in a political campaign, but Friday (10/30) a
state judge ruled that incumbent Salt Lake County Clerk
Sherri Swenson
went beyond the law.
As County Clerk, Swenson's signature is required to validate the
official ballot book.
But Swenson's name and signature appears 38 times-- twice on every page of
the book.
Her Republican opponent claims this
is an abuse of the office and the political system.
It will cost the county about $400 to make stickers to cover Swenson's name
in the ballot book
and to mail the stickers to all election judges.
