Projection: Salt Lake Mayor's Race
KSL-TV and Dan Jones & Associates projects a winner in the Salt Lake City mayor's race, based on exit polling of more than 5,000 voters.
- 62% Rocky Anderson
- 38% Stuart Reid
Political analyst Dan Jones gives several reasons Anderson is projected to win:
- Democrats turned out to vote for Anderson.
- Republicans did not turn out to vote in as great numbers, and Reid was dependent on the GOP vote, even though he is a democrat.
- The majority of voters who supported Dave Jones in the primary voted for Anderson.
