Artificial Joint Proposed Settlement

The company that recalled thousands of artificial knee and hip joints last year has agreed to a proposed class-action settlement.

The Sulzer company recalled the joints, after discovering they may have been contaminated with an oily residue that prevented the new joint from bonding with patients' bones.

If the settlement is approved, patients who qualify would receive reimbursement of their medical costs and additional financial compensation.

For more information about the proposed settlement, go to www.sulzerimplantsettlement.com.
