New Drug For A.D.H.D.

May 20, 1999

A once- a- day treatment for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder may be more effective than Ritalin.

A new study on Adderall shows 70-percent of children who were given the drug, managed their symptoms with one dose.

Before now most drugs to treat ADHD had to be taken up to three times a day.

The researchers say single dosing is critical because youngsters will no longer have to take medicine at school.

Adderall is FDA approved.
