Some big road closures could make it tough going for motorists in the Salt Lake area.
On Monday during the day, 90th South from Jordan River to 450 West will be down to only one lane of traffic.
And Van Winkle from 9th East to 47th South will be closed going southbound.
The stretch of road on 2100 South between I-15 and Redwood Road is closed until the end of the year, to make way for one of the biggest parts of the entire I-15 reconstruction project.
Kay Lin Hermansen/Wasatch Constructors: "OF THE ENTIRE PROJECT, THERE ARE 142 BRIDGES, 84 OF THEM FALL IN THIS PARTICULAR SEGMENT OF WORK. FIFTEEN OF THOSE BRIDGES WILL TIE INTO S.R. 201."
A temporary ramp will connect the freeway with 2100 South at 700 West.
Alternate Routes
Wasatch Constructors suggest 1300 South, 1700 South and 3500 South as the best east-west alternate roads to 2100 South.
July Openings
In July, we get some relief. If you're driving east from the airport, you'll be able to take I-80 to I-15 northbound.
And an onramp at 1300 South will be unveiled.
In Bountiful, the 5th South ramps are now open.
