Susan Thomas and Mark White co-host the 30 minute show. Susan is an avid recreation skier and has been since the age of 4. She has worked in television as a TV news reporter and anchor for 10 years, always covering as many ski stories as she could along the way. Susan says, "Working on a ski show is my dream job. I get to utilize my producing, writing, and anchoring experience while I practice my favorite sport!" She says the ski show will encourage Utahns to take advantage of the incredible mountains in their back yards. "I've lived in 5 different states during my television career, all of them had some skiing. Yet when I came to Salt Lake City, I realized right away that this is the best ski zone of them all." You may already know Susan, she worked for Fox 13 News for more than 2 years and recently married a Springville, Utah native, John Thomas who works for Siemens Communications.
The sport of skiing has determined the course of Mark White's life. As a native of Salt Lake, Mark began skiing at an early age under the direction of his parents and by junior high school age was competing in Alta's annual gelende jumping competitions.
Several years as a nationally ranked mogul, ballet, and aerial competitor lead to professional competition and eventually a spot on the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team. During the early eighties, Mark was considered one of the world's top mogul skiers.
Upon retirement from competition, Mark judge and announced regional and national freestyle competitions. He is employed as Director of Ski Tourism by the Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The Ski Utah host is an avid telemark skier, cross country skier, and snowboarder. He is married to Andrea Trepp White, a former All-American and top seeded ski racer.
