Make TRAX To First Night TRAX will be running on New Year's Eve providing a safe, efficient and convenient way to get downtown. Take advantage of the Park and Ride lots where you can park for free and ride the train to First Night. Inside the First Night footprint is the TRAX Free Fare Zone (500 South to Delta Center) so you can shuttle between First Night Venues for free. The last train out will leave at 2:00 am so be sure to plan ahead. Busses will run on their regular schedule. Contact UTA at BUS-INFO (287-4630) or on the Internet at www.utabus.com for more information

Also enjoy free trolley service, courtesy of UTA, to various First Night 2000 venues from 5:00 pm to 1:00 am and save your energy for celebrating. Trolley stops are clearly marked and we'll have plenty of room for everyone. We even have a new FlexTrans handicapped accessible bus.

Food & Beverage! We've traveled near and far to bring you local and exotic favorites. We offer nourishment that's warm, hearty and easy to eat on the go. You can eat on the run or pull up a table and chair near our new West Temple food court. Crossroads Plaza and ZCMI Center Mall food courts as well as the Gallivan Avenue restaurants, will also be open, or you can eat, drink and be merry at one of the many great downtown restaurants staying open late in support of our First Night 2000 celebration.

Don't Worry about the Weather! Neither rain, snow, sleet, fog or cold will stand in the way of First Night 2000 celebrations. Though most activities take place inside, be sure to wear warm clothes and sturdy shoes, because there's plenty to do outside, too!

A Safe Place to Celebrate! First Night offers a safe, alcohol-free and friendly environment. Salt Lake City police officers will be patrolling on foot, bike and motorcycle, and numerous security officers and First Night volunteers will be on hand should you need help of any kind. In case of an accident, First Aid stations are located near several venues.
