First Night Provo provides a multitude of activities that cater to people of all ages, so that families can enjoy this holiday together in a clean and safe way, no matter what the weather. First Night Provo is the grand finale of the WinterFest celebration which includes a Christmas Parade and Lights On Ceremony in Downtown Provo

The First Night program is a nationwide celebration with the theme of providing a safe and affordable celebration of the arts on New Year’s Eve without alcohol or drugs. First Night Provo emphasizes providing a multitude of activities that cater to people of all ages, so that families can enjoy this holiday together in a clean and safe way, no matter what the weather.

Events this year will be on-stage entertainment, a masquerade parade, an art exhibit, and vignettes performed by the Provo Theatre Company. Various activities for children and adults will be staged both inside and outside downtown. There will also be both a country western dance and a big band dance. And at midnight, the highlight will be the fireworks and the ball drop at the exact stroke of the new year.
