Deseret News Marathon in 1970 and the 10K in 1983. Now known as the Deseret
News/Granite Furniture Marathon and 10K, the 32nd marathon follows the route of the
first pioneers as they entered Salt Lake Valley. The World-class 19th annual 10K begins
at the marathons 20-mile mark.
The 5th annual 5K Non-competitive Fitness Walk is a great way to get involved if you
are not up to running 6.2 miles or 26.2 miles. Be a part of Utah's Days of '47 celebration
and run to the cheers of 200,000 spectators along the parade route.
