Close to 1,100 students registered to vote today during the "U Vote 2000" rally.
The campaign will be in full force this week, targeting students who have not yet registered to vote for this year's elections.
Students will also have a chance to learn about the candidates and issues.
Several local candidates are scheduled to debate on the U. of U. campus.
