T.V. Ads
Oct. 11-- For the first time, the Democratic and Republican parties
will spend more on their t.v. ads than the presidential candidates.
|
The Republican National Committee plans to spend at least $60-million on "issue ads" promoting George W. Bush and bashing Al Gore.
The Democrats are prepared to spend at least $54-million on pro-Gore, anti-Bush ads.
By comparison, Gore and Bush each are expected to spend about $45-million on t.v. ads.
