Transit Tax Measure

Oct. 11-- A judge has denied Salt Lake County Commissioner Brent Overson's request for a temporary restraining order against the Utah Transit Authority.

Overson wanted to keep U.T.A. from advertising its improvement plans until after the November 7th transit tax vote.

U.T.A. then sued Overson when he called the campaign illegal.

The agency asked for a declaration that the information is legal and a required part of its duty to inform the public about its plans.

The judge will hear arguments about that request Monday.
