But some races are still too close to call.
It doesn't surprise many people that Utah overwhelmingly supports George W. Bush for president.
But state races aren't necessarily so predictable, according to this latest KSL-Deseret News poll.
One high profile race has a Democrat leading in Utah's second congressional district.

Another important race is too close to call: For Salt Lake County mayor.
According to 478 likely Salt Lake County voters, Republican Nancy Workman leads Democrat Karen Crompton by just one percentage point. 17 percent indicate they haven't made up their minds yet in that race.
The poll also surveyed 478 likely Salt Lake County voters for their opinion on 'at large' county commission seats.
