In their third and last presidential debate, Vice President Al Gore said if Americans want someone to fight for them, he's their man. He says his rival, George W. Bush, is allied with the rich and powerful.
But Bush sought to cast Gore as a big spender and proponent of big government. Bush says as governor of Texas, he's gotten things done by putting partisanship aside, while the Clinton-Gore administration has had eight years but done nothing on Medicare, Social Security or health care.
The vice president says he would build on the prosperity of the last eight years, adding, "You ain't seen nothing yet."
Bush says the difference between them is big government versus an outsider who trusts individuals.
