KSL 5 Eyewitness Weather Tower at Trolley Square

Each day and night the historic Water Tower neon lights at Trolley Square will "reflect" the day's weather. The tower will be updated twice daily. Here's what to look for and what the "weather codes" mean.
About Trolley Square:
Trolley Square is an upscale marketplace situated in four historic buildings at 700 East and 600 South in downtown Salt Lake City. Over 80 unique shops, restaurants and entertainment centers fill approximately 250,000 square feet of retail space. The Square celebrates its 91st birthday this year and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is also a Utah Historic Site.

Trolley Square welcomes over 3 million customers each year. Approximately 30% are tourists, making Trolley Square the second most visited tourist site in the city. Trolley Square is home to the Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Hard Rock Café, Harolds, Rodizio Grill, Viva Fashions, the Spaghetti Factory and many more.

Trolley Square's landmark water tower has become an icon associated with Salt Lake and is beloved by locals. The 97 ft. tower is original to the Square and was designed to hold 50,000 gallons of water in case of fire.
