Grant
Weyman

Grant Weyman joined KSL Eyewitness News Today in October of 1999. He received his Meteorology certification from the American Meteorological Association in 2001. Becoming a weather anchor as been like coming full circle for Grant. As a child, he would study the radar when violent weather and storms were present.

Grant grew up in Quincy, Illinois, a small city along the banks of the Mississippi River, north of St. Louis. He enjoyed growing up in a small mid-western town where "you could ride a bike anywhere." Grant left the quiet town to go to the University of Southern California, where he studied film and music composition. He spent most days as a disc jockey at the college radio station.

Grant's broadcasting career has included positions as a Top 40 DJ, a radio news reporter, and a television reporter. He moved to Salt Lake City in 1996 to work for a local television station. A few years later, still passionate about weather, Grant joined the Eyewitness News Team as the newest member of the KSL Storm Team.

Grant and his wife, Karen, have two daughters, Jessica and Lindsay. They are members of Christ Lutheran Church in Murray, where they are active in many activities and projects. Occasionally, Grant plays the piano during Sunday services. He and his family enjoy skiing and hiking and are happy to call Utah home.
